The Terminator

Movie Review

The movie is set in Los Angeles 1984 many aspects from the 80s can be seen in this old movie, which doesn't look so old other than the hair styles. The T-101* Arnold Schwarzenegger a cyborg is sent back in time from the year 2029 to terminate Sarah Connor. Sarah who is the mother of John Connor is now at steak because her son John plays a significant part in helping the humans fight the machines in the future. Following the T-101 Kyle Reese makes a painfull entrance to our times and starts to look for Sarah, while already the indestructable terminator which doesn't seem to be easily affected by fists, knives, shots, fire, explosions has killed the first few Sarah Connors listed in the phone book and is determined to succeed.

This is an excellent movie! one of my favourites if not the most favourite. Arnold Schwarzenegger fits in perfectly with his role, and I couldn't imagine the movie without him. Arnold knew he wanted to play this part as soon as he started reading the script. Critics say that after the movie this was a turning point in his actor career, and it's the first movie which he stars as a villain. Even though he was initially issued with reeses role Arnold preferred to be the cyborg.

The movie was created on a $6 million budget with many effects done by miniture props cleverly intergrated into the movie.
