Movie Review
Arnold's first movie, the young muscular Oak was lucky to receive this role and the movie gave him a start.
Thanks to Joe Weider who was called one day and asked by the producers if he had someone great, strong and muscular.
Straight-away Joe told them that he knew this one young bodybuilder Arnold who would be interested and they bought it.
Arnold would now be riding chariots through the streets of New York getting payed $1000 per week for his role in this low
budget movie. With the dubbed voice, plot and his name changed
to 'Arnold Strong' the movie did display a humorous side to it. Arnold later comments that he was clueless and did
follow the script one-hundred percent and finds it just as funny. However the movie does display young Arnold which
at the time was basically at his top-form in physic, looking increadibly well and having his name on a Hercules movie
kind of made his dreams true. When he was a kid, he would read Hercules comics and watch them on the screen dreaming to be
just like that. With great bodybuilders before Arnold's time, such as Steve Reves & Reg Park who became an idol to Arnold, also
starring in a few classic Hercules flicks.
It's fortunate for us that he finally made a start in his acting career to bring many other great titles which will be
forever remembered. It's still pretty likely he would of started otherwise but one can never be too certain of an actors
career.
